Mysore Excursion – Conference Day Trip
Join us for a full-day excursion to the historic city of Mysore, known for its royal heritage, architecture, and cultural richness. Participants will travel together from IISc and enjoy guided visits to two iconic landmarks.
📅 Schedule Overview
Departure from IISc:
- 6:30 AM sharp from the conference venue
- Breakfast: Packed meal provided to eat on the bus
🏰 Stop 1: Mysore Palace
- Arrival: 10:30 AM
- Visit Duration: Entry → exploration → exit by 1:00 PM
- One of India’s most magnificent royal residences, renowned for its Indo-Saracenic architecture.
🍽️ Lunch Break
- 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM
- Venue and meal details will be provided on the bus.
🏛️ Stop 2: Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace
- Arrival: 3:00 PM
- Visit Duration: Entry → tour → exit by 4:30 PM
- A beautiful teakwood palace reflecting the life and legacy of Tipu Sultan.
🚌 Return to IISc
- Arrival: ~7:00 PM

Important Notes
- Please be at the departure point 10 minutes early to ensure an on-time start.
- Wear comfortable footwear; both locations involve walking.
- Carry a hat, water bottle, and sunscreen if needed.
- Entry tickets and transportation are included in the trip.
